Affected by rising scrap prices and limited supply in the market,it is said several Taiwanese rebar mills have temporarily postponed the new rebar offers for the domestic market.A Taiwanese rebar mill said that it will release new price after the New Year vacation.According to calculation,if the new scrap base prices are at US$380/ton CFR,the input costs for rebar production will be more than NT$18,200/ton,reflecting that the current rebar selling prices of NT$18,000/ton are lower than the input costs.Therefore,most of Taiwan's rebar mills preferred to temporarily postpone offering the new rebar prices at this moment.
