According to data released by China Customs, China exported 5.55 million tons of steel products in April, rising by 5% from a month ago and increasing by 18.8% year on year. Meanwhile, China’s imports of steel products totaled 1.26 million tons in April, up by 2.4% month on month and increasing by 11.5% year on year. In the first four months of this year, the country’s exports of steel products amounted to 19.98 million tons, up by 19% year on year. In the given period of time, China’s imported 4.49 million tons of steel products, down by 0.9% year on year.
